How did Empower Funding begin?
It all started with a chance encounter and a simple idea.
Our Co- Founder and Managing Director's father, Meir Ezra, an experienced entrepreneur and business coach, was consulting a real estate agent in South Africa.
During their discussion, the agent mentioned they used something called bridging finance. Curious, he asked, "What’s bridging finance?"
After the agent explained how it works, he was impressed but surprised at how expensive it was.
That’s when he realized..., “I could do this—but at a better rate.” He formally began offering bridging finance, determined to make it more affordable and accessible.
Shortly after, he approached his son, Gal Ezra, with the idea. “I know you’ve got some time on your hands,” he said.
“This could be a great opportunity to help people while building something meaningful.”
With that, they launched Empower Funding, focusing on providing great service and beating the rates of existing bridging finance options.
Today, Empower Funding has grown into a thriving business.
It didn’t invent bridging finance—but it’s doing it better, at more affordable rates, and with a focus on helping people.
