If you are living on planet Earth today, you are going to be affected by stress.
The side effects of stress affect every facet of life negatively.
Stress results in anger, restlessness, mistakes, illness, financial losses, destroyed relationships, miserableness, unhappiness, and an overall destroyed life.
While most people experience stress daily, and while the results of stress are well known, the source of stress is totally unknown, and as a result, it seems there is no effective handling for stress.
Or is there?
The following is a powerful law that will help you fix anything:
IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE IT YOU DON’T KNOW IT.
THE MOMENT YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT A SUBJECT, THE SUBJECT IS UNDER YOUR CONTROL.
If you don’t know how to drive a car, for example, you will not be able to handle the car – you will not control the car, the car will control you… it is called an accident.
You have as many problems as you don’t know.
Or,
Problems are an indication of a lack of knowledge.
The problem of stress is an indication of a lack of knowledge about stress, and this article will give you the knowledge you need to handle stress for yourself and others!
The most basic thing you must know about anything you are going to handle is its definition! Without the definition of what you are going to handle, you don’t know what you are handling!
Imagine a judge that doesn’t know the definition of justice. He thinks that the definition of justice is, “maximum punishment to avoid crime,” yet the actual definition of justice is, “the minimum force the group must apply to an individual so as to convince them to be ethical by their own will.” Maximum punishment, applying more force once the person is ethical on his own, will always result in injustice; and injustice is the reason people cannot stop committing crimes once they have started.
Imagine an engineer that doesn’t know what an equation is. Will he be able to engineer? No way!
With this in mind, it is obvious that since the problem of stress is rapidly growing, we don’t know what the definition of the word stress is, or what stress itself is. Sure, everyone knows the side effects of stress, but if you cannot handle the stress, you need to know that you don’t know what stress is.
Before I will explain what stress is, let’s see what it is not!
STRESS IS NOT A PHYSICAL PROBLEM!
There is no blood test or any other test that can show or measure stress, and so trying to handle the body, taking drugs, for example, may give a temporary relief, but it will not fix the source of the problem. On the contrary, it will worsen the actual problem – the cause of the stress.
Stress is a manifestation of something and not the cause, much like accidents are the manifestation of poor drivers and not the cause; and so trying to fix the cars and not the drivers will not solve the actual problem but will worsen the problem, as the real source of the problem, the drivers, were not handled.
To solve any problem, you need to find the real source of the problem.
For as long as you do not have the source of the problem the problem will grow. The moment you spot the actual source of the problem, the problem ceases to be a problem. The problem becomes a welcome barrier you can easily handle.
Once you have spotted the actual source of the problem, you assumed the position of cause over the problem, and otherwise, you are the effect of the problem.
So, we can say that in any situation in life, the person can either be effect of life or cause over life.
Effect is the condition where the environment is overwhelming for the individual – it is too much. When you assume the position of effect, you consider that the handling of the problem is out of your control, and the problem grows.
An excuse is a proposed source for a problem that does not solve the problem.
When you assume the position of effect, you substitute excuses for results. You explain why the results are out of your control, and the more you explain, the further the solution gets.
Anything other than the handling of the problem is the result of the assumption of the position of effect. Excuses are the manifestation of the effect viewpoint. Excuses are used to justify why you are not cause over the problem.
Cause is the condition where you know that the viewpoint you assume defines the environment, and the environment does not define you. As a result, you consider that the problems of life are not problems but are welcome barriers you can easily overcome on the way to your goal.
Any time before you assume the position of cause over the problem, you will deal only with excuses and will not have the actual source of the problem – the problem will grow.
The magic is that the moment you assume the position of cause, you will have the actual source of the problem – the viewpoint you assumed.
Even if the source of the problem is someone or something else, the problem will not be handled before you assume the position of cause over that someone or something.
It is the viewpoint you assume, cause or effect, and nothing else that will define the actions you will undertake, and in turn, define the results.
IF YOU CHOOSE AN EFFECT VIEWPOINT, YOU CHOOSE TO LOSE, AND YOU CANNOT HELP BUT LOSE.
IF YOU CHOOSE A CAUSE VIEWPOINT, YOU CHOOSE TO WIN, AND YOU CANNOT HELP BUT WIN.
Any are you are winning at you also consider yourself to be cause over, and hence it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to fail in that area.
And hence, success is defined as the manifestation of the assumption of the position of cause.
Any area you are losing at you also consider yourself to be an effect of and hence it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to win in that area.
And hence failure is defined as the manifestation of the assumption of the position of effect.
You simply need to assume the position of being cause over an area to win in that area. It does not have to be logical, practical, or anything else – simply assume the position of cause, and I can guarantee you will win.
So what is stress?
Stress is:
THE MANIFESTATION OF PROLONGED PERIODS ONE ASSUMED THE POSITION OF EFFECT AND NOT CAUSE.
And since failure is the manifestation of the assumption of the position of effect, stress is:
THE MANIFESTATION OF PROLONGED PERIODS OF FAILURES.
From the definition it is clear, all you have to do to handle stress is to assume the position of cause.
