One of the questions we get asked is if we do credit checks at Empower Funding.
Firstly, if you don't want us to do a credit check, we don't have to.
The only way we do credit check is with your approval.
The reason we do credit checks is to give us a better idea of the deal as a whole. Sometimes, even if our client's credit situation is less than ideal, we may still be able to do the bridging finance deal for them.
Without a credit check, us doing the deal is much less likely.
That being said, we will always look at your deal, we'll see how much money you're asking for, what are the merits of your deal, and so forth. A credit check makes things much easier and faster, and a majority of our deals go through a credit check before bridging with us.
If there is any reason you don't want us to do the credit check, please talk to us about it, explain the situation, and we'll take it from there.
