In South Africa, restrictions have gotten more strict. For many people, it's an emotional time.
It's tough, they don't know what to do. And when you're emotional and fearful, you aren't looking, you're literally blinded by what's going on and by your emotions.
No matter the industry you're in, even if you're horribly affected, you can't do anything if you're closing your eyes, or completely knocked down on the ground in apathy. You've got to get up and just start somewhere. It can be tricky to figure out how to start when times are so horribly tough.
This is a tool you can use to pick yourself up a little bit. It's simple. I know that if it's simple it might not be as valuable because you want something impressive. But the most valuable and the most powerful things are the simple ones.
What you need to do is simply reach out to three to five people, people that you don't normally speak to, and just communicate to them.
Just communicate anything, share something nice, share good news rather than bad. Just tell them, "Hi, how are you doing? It's been a while. I just thought of you". Put out good communication. That's all.
You'll see that not only will that pick you up, but it will also pick them up because you've reached out to them and given them importance.
That's the first step. And we can do more posts about what to do and how to continue to flourish, even in a horribly challenging environment.
